Bartok
I went to post office and they new nothing of the gift for christmas scheme for sodiers and dogs. So if you plan on sending something print this out also so they can't argue with you I contacted ADF and they confirmed it then i got the below email from Aust Post From: Hale, Trysta [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, 24 November 2010 1:50 PM To: Francine Todd Subject: RE: Can u please confirm if this is Legitimate. I ask because the local Post Office had no idea about the scheme. Dear Francine, We have located this information in our system. This is legitimate information - this is what our file states - Effective 15 November 2010, three new temporary addresses have been introduced to allow members of the public to send Christmas / seasonal messages and gifts to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members deployed overseas. These temporary addresses will be active until 15 December 2010. • AFPO 60 - Middle East Operations AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCES NSW 2890 • AFPO 61 - East Timor Operations AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCES NSW 2890 • AFPO 62 - Solomon Islands Operations AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCES NSW 2890 Free postage applies to all mail addressed to these points, where articles weigh no more than 2kg. All items addressed to ADF members must contain the appropriate customs documentation; dangerous goods, prohibitions and restrictions apply to mail sent to ADF members. If your post office gives you any further issues with this, feel free to let us know and we can contact them. Sorry about the mix up. But is definitely a great cause. Enjoy your day. daisygirl
I took everything to the post office today and was packing it into the boxes. The guy said he knew straight away where I was sending it before I even put the address on the boxes. That was Arana Hills in Brisbane.
