Loraine
It's part of Emmy's and Charlie's rehab to strengthen their knees, legs and back... any excuse for a pool is a good one.
Tassie
I'd recommend you fence it off from the dogs or put rigid cover on it CW - that's deep enough for a small dog to drown in. Lucky dogs - but following on from what pf said, you need to check your local couincil and sstate pool fencing regs - I suspect that's big enough to need pool fencing. (Though that doesn't make it a bad idea - still say - lucky puplets.)

Yep, it will be put in a section of the yard where it's already fenced and we are looking into covers for it.

W Sibs
But how do you keep stuff from growing in water without a pump and chemicals?Or do you fill up and empty every few days? Or do you use chemicals to kill the nasties? I rather like the idea myself otherwise!! I have no idea. I think the boyfriend will drain it out and give it a good scrub frequently. He likes doing stuff like that. He loves doing chores. He relaxes him.

HollyMilo
It looks great but I'd contact your local council before putting any water in that pool CW EW. At 61cm high and holding over 2000 litres of water it may be subject to pool fencing laws. I know that some of the portable pools you buy from places like Target and Big W are affected by the fencing laws here in Qld.
W Sibs
Well, the pool as arrived yesterday... thankfully, because it was really really hot!!! After 40 minutes putting the pool up myself and everything, it looks awesome. Not as big as I thought, but it was plenty big for Charlie and Emmy Emmy loves it. She insist she had to go into the pool while I was filling it up with water so she will walk splashing in the water and had a great time playing with the hose. I threw a rubber ducky in there with her, and she played with that too. Charlie liked it but rather be hunting lizards. I joined Emmy is walking around in the water too. I'm teaching her her how to splash but she hasn't got the concept yet. I haven't filled the water up high enough for them to properly swim at the moment though. Just so they both get use to being in there walking around. I'm thinking in winter, I can move my pool in the double garage so The Sibs can swim all year round
