Missing Link - Anyone Used It?

I know Missing Link as been around for some time now but I have never used it.

I was wondering if anyone here has used it and if you have, what did you use it for, did it work, will you continue to use it????

i used it because my cairn was old and on a very restricted diet and she did very well on it. with a smaller dog it doesn't work out too expensive but if its for a larger dog it would be quite pricey.

i thought it worked well though

she had really bad skin so it improved that seemed she didnt needs drugs as often

i liked it because it gave her some basic nutrients that i thought were missing in her restricted diet

I gave it to my whippets, and their coats were great, they shed less, which was the big bonus.

Then AQIS stopped it being imported into Australia because of one ingredient, it has since been allowed in again, but that one ingredient is not in it any more.

And of course I think it was that ingredient that was helping coats so much, because I have not had the same results from the new batch.

There is no difference in the shedding at all.

How recently did they stop it and reinstate the importing of it?

I didnt realise this, we had Merlin on it, up until about 8 weeks ago, will be interesting to see if the new batch has the same results

It was some years ago, maybe 4, it wasn't available here for a long time, but when I tried the new formula I was not impressed, it was nowhere near as effective as the original.

Oh ok, sounds like Merlin has had the new batch then. Although he was only a puppy, coat still coming through the Missing Link really helped keep his coat tangle free and really soft.

I had a dog with a minor allergy and used Missing Link each summer and didn't have to use any meds. This was some years ago so it would have been the old formula.

Such a shame that they had to change the formula - I wonder what it was that AQIS didn't like????
