 STUPID me had mixed up 2 names - the name that was meant to be for a girl i put down as a dog and the name for the dog was put down for the bitch..... Does anyone know if this is able to be rectified. I forgot about it until now and now Dogs Vic is closed for phone enquiries and people are coming around tonight to pick up their girl. Have to go in and fix tomorrow and send papers out.

Should be easy to change but obviously not in time for her going home tonight.

I have changed a name on papers when the CCCQ mis-read what was plainly written in front of them, a bit different to your problem but still shouldn't be an issue. Generally speaking provided the pup is young and has never been shown you don't have a problem changing the name.

When I filled out the papers for Hamish 2 yrs ago - I wrote " Against The Odds" - I meant to write "Against All Odds" - they said it has already been accepted so could not be changed.

On 3 occasions I have tried to have litter registrations done the same day and been knocked back - last time was only a few months ago with just ONE pup to be registered I asked to have it done on the day and pay the extra - BUT I was told it was the cost of limited rego PLUS the EXTRA $30.....I told her that is not what I was told so said no thanks I will wait -it only took one week anyway. Was not the usual lady who is always in the office. With my first litter, one pup was not well and when I was registering the litter I told them that he may not make it, but was told I had to register him anyway just in case he made it they would not add him later on. As it was he was pts before the papers arrived. When I got the papers I took his in but was told I can keep them (which I have), I thought they wanted to know of any deaths to remove them from their records :). Makes it very hard to know what is right or not if they don't tell everyone the same thing.

When I had my litters registered I knew a few others who also had the litters registered the day before and after I went in who had it done on the same day - no idea why they refused do it for me...

My pug breeder in QLD got her numbers the same day - she called me as soon as she walked out of the office with the numbers so I could start filling out show entries. May be I have not been around long enough for special treatment. :)

I know you cant change the name, that's clearly stated on the forms, but it was the sex of the dogs that I messed up on, the name wont change at all, just the sex and it doesn't say anything at all about if you make a mistake with the sex..... Will see how we go
