Working Bitches in Whelp

The Management Committee has completed its review of the existing regulations; it considered the additional recommendations from the Canine Health Committee regarding Working Bitches in Whelp, and also considered any revisions to the Regulations now required.

The Management Committee resolved to amend Regulation 3.3.9.1 to read:

Regulation 3.3.9.1

“A bitch is prohibited from exhibition for the period (4) weeks after mating until (10) weeks after whelping, unless the bitch has Veterinary clearance to do so, which must be produced on the day of exhibition/competition.”

The Canine Health Committee has been asked to develop a pro-forma, to be placed on the website and in the gazette, for members to ask their Vet to complete.
