RubyStar
I switched at 6 months, and got told off by a vet nurse who said to use it til 18 months of age. Don't appreciate being told I know nothing because I am just a "pet owner" :D Her 18 month GR was still on it, apparently. I told her to mind her own business Turned out she was just trying to flog the Advance puppy formula in their clinic when she gave me an Advance brochure outlining why it's so important to keep them on puppy food

They probably know better as I have had a few lively debates with them on dog nutrition :D and we agree to disagree on some nutrition issues. lilli_star
I would start transitioning her to adult food when you have approx a week's worth of the puppy food left so for a week you can combine both puppy food and adult and as the week progresses increase the quantity of the adult and decrease the quantity of the puppy food so that at the end of the week you can start her fully on the adult food. Okay thanks
Dee_al
i personally believe puppies should be on puppy/junior food until at least 12 months old. Was very annoyed to find out OH had swapped Jax over to adult food at 4 and a hal months old....(he generally feeds the dogs as im at work)
