Isle Of Dogs Vs Chris Christensen

Hi all,

I know there was a similar thread earlier about what people use on their dogs... However, I wanted to know more about these 2 brands specifically.

I've been doing a bit of research because I want to try out some new stuff with my dog and I get paid next week. Hehehe.

I've noticed with some brands (such as Plush Puppy) you have to dilute the solution.

Does anyone know whether this is the case with either Isle of Dogs or Chris Christensen?

I am sort of after something convenient and easy to use out of the bottle. I don't have a bathtub or anything and have to shower my dog in the shower (which is open and have no door) so anything that it's easy and straight forward would be great!

Do you have a preference between the 2 brands?

In particular, does anyone have any experience with their white shampoos?

Also does anyone know any other products equivalent to CC Show Off? I would really like to keep something like that on hand for in between baths!

Any help would be great!

I can't answer on those 2 brands sorry. But in regards to having something convenient to use, I once bought from pet netowrk some shampoo and conditioned bottles. They were basically clear sauce bottles with marks up the side for common dilution rates. So you just put the shampoo in to the relevant mark then filled the bottle. It was easy to use and dispense when bathing them.

eta: they still have them, bottom product on this page http://www.petnetwork.com.au/cgi-bin/shopp...;cart_id=338531

just what i was going to say - just use an empty bottle which you can fill with the dilutes shampoo ahead of bathtime.

Diluted solutions are great for getting into the coat and washing out easier, you also have the option of using it neat for when you need a stronger shampoo on stains.

I've used both AND Kelco - It depends on what you want to achieve. I like Kelco because I can wire up a soft coat. I like the Isle of Dog products because they compliment the other products I use.... I use different ones for different reasons on different coats..It really comes down to what you want to achieve

TeamSnag: What happened to your dog's coat?!

I am basically after something to keep the white white, and perhaps something "gentle" to use in between that will keep him nice and fluffy. I was worried that the white shampoos would be really drying?

I would also like to try Show Off for days when I can't be bothered to wash him! Lol.

Well the show off is a rinse free shampoo also so the pure paws would also work..

It was very harsh on his coat.. Made it frizzy dry and just yuck!!!! And it was the shampoo they said to use its not like i just brought whatever lol

Was that just from one usage on him?

Yep..

Hmm, that's not good... Maybe I should stay away from it then...

Or maybe it was a bad batch or just wasn't suitable for their dog.

Plenty of people are happy with the products.
