kja
I don't currently have any Tamron's but have plenty of friends who use them. No problems at all. Slower to focus than some of their Canon brand cousins, but nothing that's been a major issue and if you don't have both, you won't notice
keroppiyo
I'm completely new to using DSLRs, but I have a Tamron 18-270mm, and don't have any problems with it. As Kja mentioned, most people who know more about photography will agree that they're generally slower than the Canon lenses, and just be aware that the Macro on the lens you're considering is not true macro. Other than that, they seem to make great lenses.
