Greytmate
There are two adults I know that when asked "Are your hands clean?" will always say "Yes". But on closer inspection they turn out to have grubby mitts leaving smudgy, greasy handprints everywhere. ;)

Mollie10
;) A HUMAN BEING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY DOG. I think you're in the wrong place if that's your attitude. My dogs are more important to me than pretty much everyone. Sheridan, I don't think it's appropriate that the children can see into your yard. I find that to be a HUGE invasion of privacy. If it affects your quiet enjoyment of your property (and it is) it's a nuisance. Hugs to my darling Grumpy man xox Edited cause I just caught up with the good outcome Edited November 22, 2010 by Mollie10
raz
I mean.... imagine people on a dog forum caring about dogs... bet that came as a shock! ;) :D ;) This post has taken me half an hour to type but I'll try to get it out without laughing too much. Did you ever see the thread a few years ago written by a guy who was totally incensed that all people on Dogzonline did was talk about dogs? Everyone just turned around and said - urmmmm it's a DOG FORUM He thought it was more important that we talk about the half nude photos he posted of himself than our own dogs. Now let me ask you...what is wrong about that picture??? He left. He didnt get the attention he wanted. I guess he would have been better off if he'd been a dog, not a person. SpikesPuppy
To clarify, my confusion IS genuine and I really do want to know what is so offensive about asking if a child has clean hands before deciding whether or not they can pat my dog. I honestly think it's because some parents are sooo caught up in their children that they can't possibly imagine that the world doesn't revolve around the child. What the child wants, the child gets. A lot of parents are just too afraid to say no.

I dont know why he thought people on a dog forum were more interested in talking about dogs than his nipple rings. Blew my mind, quite frankly.
