UltimatePup
What is your favourite book or web site for guidance on training new puppies? I am not so interested in special kinds of obedience or agility behaviours, just the most effective guide you know for training the core basics that make a dog a pleasant family member. e.g: - Toilet training - Come, sit, stay - Walking on a leash - Obedience when off the leash - Road safety - Don't jump - Don't lick - Give (e.g. Release a toy) - Speak/Be quiet / Be quiet when home alone (Yes, short/rare periods only!) - Basic scent/seek training Thank you. Primedogs
I like youtube for a wide mix of techniques and different behaviours, but I also look at Dog star daily
Gspsplease
Have a look at Kikopup the website and short film clips on Yahoo. Lots of good information about positive training and clicker training. And I fully endorse dogstardaily.com cheers
