Tim'sMum
Just a question if you have raised a Guide Dog puppy? How carefully do they screen applicants and how often do they check on the dogs and 'puppy raisers'?
Lyla
Check with Aussielover. She has a guide dog labby pup at the moment.
lilli_star
Aussielover is right now! She has a black Lab named Mindy. Send her a PM, or I'm sure she'll come and comment when she can.
Tim'sMum
Thanks....will PM her. I know of someone who is doing this and it worries me....having seen the state of her previous dog.
Scarlet
I have previously looked into it. In Qld you must take the pup to regular training / puppy school sessions at the centre. This was, I think, weekly for 6-8weeks then monthly as the pup gets older. They also visit you "regularly" or whenever you ask for assistance to assist you with raising the puppy" I got the impression that they would check with you more often if you were new to them, which I completely understood.
