tlc
Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone gives presents to your dogs doggy buddies? This year (if I get the time) my intention is good so far I am going to make some peanut butter dog bickys, pop them in little cellophane bags print out the recipie and laminate it on little cards and tie the recipie to the top along with a dog bone shaped cookie cutter for my dogs buddies! I usually make a big batch for all the dogs on our last day of obedience too, as we have a little party for our end of years thing. But I just thought it might be nice. So I will be baking my little heart out as they do have a better social life than me :D so thats a lot of bickys to make!! So do you do anything similar, would love to hear of some other ideas?? TerraNik
Of course we do!!!!! Mitch decided to butter Soaks up for her pressies, too! They usually just get lots of toys, treats and anything they 'need' like lifejackets, cool coats, etc. This year it will just be treats and toys. tlc
great photos, Nic. My guys get way to much at xmas :D but i love it. The bickys will be for thier friends. I did liver treats for a couple of years but the amount I had to make was ridiculous, the bickys are less time consuming. I do make the liver treats for my guys though they love them! Pigs ears is a good idea too, wish we had somewhere in town where we could get them cheaper. Our closest cheapest place at $1.29 each is 2 hurs away. percyk
i think we may have bought a present once for our old cocker girl when she was a baby but that was so many years ago now we dont buy the dogs presents ever anymore they get what they need as they need it ...and if stuff is on special ill take advantage and buy a coat or two i think it is great that we are a country of animal lovers....i shudder to think that there are still places in the world that have little regard for their animals but...i dont think buying gifts for animals is the way to go either...not when there are so many problems in the world i guess it is fine to do a bit of baking or whatever but id prefer to put the effort into helping the homeless at chrissy not trying to blow a trumpet here...just the way i feel dont want to go the way of the americans with their over the top attitudes towards pets wasteful and with so many kids sick or starving, a bit of an insult

~*Shell*~
Zero and I give presents to his friends on christmas - I think we actually gave Ahsoka that christmas stocking I don't know what I'm going to do for the doggies this year. Zero can't have a couple of different things and I know some of his friends don't like or can't have certain foods either so I think I'll have to have a look around! OSoSwift
My dogs already have theirs! A certain little clean run order that turned up not long ago! I give my SIL dog's some treats and dog bikkies, bought ones but find good ones without crap. My dogs also get little treats as well go out for part of the day to the inlaws and they stay at home with their new toys and treats to chew on. rastus_froggy
Froggy's best friend is Sam a guard dog at the local scrap metal place, he gets a present every year, usually a HUGE thigh bone. The owners were very shocked to see how Froggy and Sam got along so well, as Sam doesn't like most dogs. It's kinda funny as the scrap metal place is next door to the pound and one day the pound people were trying to get a little terrier X out of the after hours pen and she escaped on them and ran into the scrap metal yard, they couldn't catch her so they left her there, no one ever came looking for her so now the scrap metal place has 2 guard dogs Missy the little terrier X and Sam the rottie X
4Kelpies
Of course my dogs get presents - usually treats and a bag of cheap toys from the op shop. One year they got an air conditioner (I have to admit that was for me as well) but their best present ever was the year I first got sheep.
