I cant take her to the vet until i get home tonight from work but am just wondering if anyone can tell me an antihistamine to use so my housemate can go and get some to do until i take her up to the vet? OSoSwift
I would ring your vet and get a product and dose you can use on your dog. Then yep it can be bought from a chemist. My old Stafford quite often used to wander out to the toilet and come back covered in hives and welts. We would give him antihistamines and a dose of Pred at the same time. He had allergic skin disease so I am sure you dog wouldn't need the Pred. It is surreal to have a dog fine and smooth and shiney, then have them puffy, bumpy and covered in lumps 5 minutes later! Hope your dog feels better very soon.
