Once upon a time I would have said I will never have a male dog.

Well I now have two boys and a girl.

She absolutely can do my head in. She is such a bitch at times actually most of the time.

The boys are lovely, though the marking can also do my head in.

I've only ever had a couple of "heart dogs" that were female. The boys seem to endear themselves to me as a rule.

My current boy chose me when he was first able to get himself up on Teletubbie legs and waddle over to me...he chose his name at the same time. I'm thankful he has turned out the quality that he has as a show dog because no matter what, he was staying!

I much prefer the girls. I prefer the more independent nature and that they can have different moods. I've had 4 males and 3 have been rehomed, as I just didn't bond with them, like I do with the girls.

Always had girls my entire life and now I have a female and male. Badger is my first male and truthfully I adore both but would never own two females.

I would never own just one dog again, life is better with two or more.

Ivy is very very cuddly and sooky, she loves nothing more than to get into bed every morning and snuggle. Badger does the same when he is allowed. He is defiantly mummies boy.

I was scared of getting a male but up for the challenge .. He is also yet to lift his leg hehe. He also doesn't mark nor do he sniff everything. I think I go the best male dog ever

It depends on the personal dog I say, nothing to do with gender.

Girls for sure, they dont have dangley bits and pink pencils and dont pee on every second blade of grass

and they dont get "really friendly" with your guests ;)

My boys don't do that whether entire or desexed. Maybe that is part of proper and appropriate socialisation and training and not a gender issue at all????

My boys don't do that either. My desexed male (JRTxChi) does get very friendly with our male (also desexed) cat. It's actually pretty funny to see cause the cat is twice his size and just sits there with this bored look on his face! He doesn't do it often and always stops when told.
