ness Posted November 5, 2010 Share Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Hmmm Staranais the Aussie dog ones are ok to play tug with and I have also tugged with the triple crown foam ones. They seem to last (well at least more than 1 or 2 tugs). I had a triple crown one that lasted for about a month with regular fetching and tugging. Woolworths/BigW have some great soft rubber frisbees - fly well, fold up to stick in a pocket - and tuggable - at least by BCs . Has anyone tried the Kong frisbee? I had a look at our local pet store, this was the most robust frisbee they had, however I'm not shelling out $40 for a damn dog toy if it won't last! You don't have a big labrador, I have been using a kong frisbee as a tug reward in flyball and it is now a rubber donut. It doesn't fly any more but it is a better tug toy! We've had a number of Kong frisbees, they've been really good, but they split around the edges and the last one I bought only lasted about a month as the dogs tugged it and ripped the entire edge off. I have hardcore frisbee dogs though, and they insist on bringing them back to me together.....two mouths on the one frisbee which makes for a fair bit of wear and tear. I've had a friend offer to splice me a frisbee sized circle from thick heavy duty jute rope, should hopefully be malligator proof, but I'm not sure how well it will fly! The red ones are quite strong, been tested on lots of dogs. He used to do an ultra tough white one so might be worth emailing to see if he has any of those lying around.
