LizT
Don't let breed misconceptions fool you LizT. My American Cocker puppy Bad Alice didn't get her name because she was sugar and spice and all things nice, I can assure you!!! :D Indeed!
sandgrubber
I've found that the 'someone is killing me' yelp starts to become common in week 6 with Labrador pups (or the bloodlines I've run) but only lasts a week or so. I imagine -- perhaps incorrectly -- that they start developing some sense of empathy in week 7 to 8. I should have said 'screaming' not 'yelp', but the software doesn't let me correct as I go. Hmmm...and you get the "someone is killing me scream" combined with the "I'm gunna kill someone growl" quite confronting! Come to think of it I think I remember a similar noise emitting from my kids when they were small!
