Metal Or Soft Crate? I Can't Decide

mine can unzip their soft crates very easily. My boy ate through the "gauze" of his soft one when he wanted to get out and do agility (it was his sister's turn). It was a high quality, expensive one.

Bundy lets himself out of his metal one very occasionally.. I don't think he's smart enough to be able to unzip it though

My Vizslas aren't! :cheer:

Well, if yours aren't I think I'm safe. NZViz calls him "Simple Sam" cos he's a bit speshul..

My soft crate got killed and the dog wasn't even in it at the time

I only use metal / airline ones because I don't trust my younger dog in the soft ones but if your dog is not destructive and is well crate trained I'd get a soft crate, they are a lot easier to carry and assemble.

ETA: When I was using that crate for the non-naughty dog once it was closed I used to clip the zip into that hook on the right, that way he couldn't unzip it.

Lol I am so lucky that my dog does not break stuff, his old crate has been outside for the cats for ages and he has not chewed or broken it at all - cats have done the most damage by laying on the top - Socks weighs 8Kg which is a tad bit too heavy for the poor crate roof :cheer:
