Need Recommendations For Puppy School

Hi!

I am getting my puppy in 5 weeks (so excited!!) and I would like to know if there are any good puppy schools around for obedience training/socializing in the SE Brisbane corner (I live in the Sunnybank area).

I want to start planning and enroll my pup for training ASAP - just to ensure she gets all the essential goodness a puppy needs.

Any suggestions?

I can't help on the names of schools, but perhaps call around your local vet clinics and see which ones offer puppy socialisation classes. That may be a good start. They may also be able to give you the name of organisations running training classes locally which you can continue on with from there.

I have used Oliver at Clear Dog Training, thought he was good, and also heard that Dee at Positive Response Dog training is fantastic, thinking about enrolling my guy in their advanced classes.

Yes, do your research first before picking a puppy school. The nearest might not always be the best. Ask about how big classes are. Your trainer may be the best but he teaches a really big class then he will not be as effective. Ask for recommendations if there are any near your area
