Just a reminder for anybody going to the Coffs Harbour Dog Trial this weekend, that I will have samples of Black Hawk to hand out to anybody who wants one. If you don't already know me, just ask any of the club members & they will point you in the right direction.

Just wondering how long it usually takes to receive a sample of it in the mail? I contacted Sherel over a week a go, & she said she would send me some but I still haven't received it yet.

Should I wait a little longer? or should I contact Sherel again? I don't want to look as if I'm nagging her. I'm tempted to maybe call into the Sunshine supplier on Saturday & buy a 3kg bag....I'm half way through my bag of Advance, & would really like to start changing the dogs over to something else, so I'm very keen to try them with some BH. :)

If you were in my area, you would have definately received a sample from me by now either by post or courier. I know Sherel is pretty busy at the moment with the Melbourne show coming up, so I would contact her again & let her know how urgent it is. You only need about a week to change them over from the other food. I changed my girl & the puppy over, cold turkey, & they had no problems, but that is not recommended.

Thanks Sheena, I will send Sherel another email to let her know I haven't received it yet.

I have enough Advance left to last them approx 2 weeks, so it's not that urgent...but I am very keen to try them with it. :)

i've changed my pup over to Black Hawk 3 weeks ago now and I am stunned at the difference in his coat and skin already - it had been a little dry and flaky, and that has all but disappeared in the last week or so - fantastic! And more importantly he LOVES it! Thankyou!

Does anyone know if their stall at the Melb Royal show was open today? They were evidently told they would have to shut up shop yesterday even though they weren't selling their pet dry food (conflict with a major sponsor??), they did have treats and shampoos/grooming products on the stand.

Does the food put on weight much at all? My Noah is too skinny at the moment and I'd like to bulk him up.

Who would I contact for a sample in VIC?

Guest Panzer Attack!

Unfortunately we haven't done so well on it. Foster boy liked it, but due to not being able to buy it where he's now living, he's been switched onto Nutro. My pup eats it but isn't particularly happy about it, he's actually overweight (it was impossible to keep weight on him before, he's put on half a kilo!!) and I'm barely feeding him any, and his coat's gone crap. :( Sucks, I was really happy to keep him on this food. Back to Artemis we go.

E x

PS: oh, and we have had the massive water drinking issue as well. Is there a lot of salt in this food or something? He's eaten a fair number of foods in his short time on earth and never needed to drink much.

Tess32: it's probably going to help if my dog is anything to go by :)

We have been using it for about 7 months now & my dogs don't drink large amounts of water  & their coats are looking great & only two poos a day, nice & firm.

But that's not to say it doesn't agree with all dogs. It gave my Pug really nasty hot spots that took ages to get rid of, my Shih Tzu got yeasty ears and another dog got too fat. However I have two other dogs who seem to do well on it.

It's just trial and error and won't be the right food for all dogs, which the fan club needs to accept instead of appearing confused.

Clyde....no one food agrees with all dogs. If I am confused then it's about the excessive drinking & I would be interested if someone could come up with a reason for it.
