Loving my Oldies
http://www.gympietimes.com.au/story/2010/1...w-pages-survey/ Gympie dogs most pampered in state Jannette Parke | 23rd October 2010 GYMPIE mutts are the most pampered pooches in Queensland according to the latest data from Yellow Pages, and Alissa Corbet admits her dogs Subi, Gronki, Teak and Rusty are perfect examples. Yellow Pages marketing manager Stacey Maher said Gympie is a great place to live if you're a dog or cat. When the number and types of business listings were analysed in the local area, Ms Maher said there were nearly twice as many businesses in the Gympie region that pamper pets compared with ones that look after men's appearances. “Gympie men have had to step aside when it comes to their grooming and fashion needs to make way for pampered pooches and fashionable felines,” she said. Animal lover Alissa said her dogs do get well looked after. “They're treated like they live at the Hilton,” she laughed. “They get groomed every month by Southside's Fluffy Puppies Grooming, they get a bath, a full clip and their toenails done.” Toy poodle Subi and Cavalier King Charles spaniel Gronki were rescued from the Gold Coast after being mistreated. “They were going to be drowned by this idiot who owned them,” Alissa said. “I took them in and fostered them, fell in love and ended up keeping them.” Alissa spares no expense on her pets and owns up to spending “about $100 a week” on their food. “I love their companionship, and coming home to them; they're always happy to see me. I love them all to bits.” Edited October 23, 2010 by Mother Moocher
GeckoTree
Sure seems to be, the only thing I noticed was the no dog signs on allmost every place you would normally think to see dogs and owners out and about., although I also notice they have for the most part been ripped off lol, and never any poo bag dispensers?!?, I reckon gympieites should drop a note to council. And make it more dog walkers friendly.
