sas
A super agile dog who looked like he was enjoying himself. Could he hurt himself....maybe...probably..... But I think this dog would be in a hell of a lot better muscular condition than most of our dogs and helps the dog to be injury free for long - but yeah all it takes is one bad move. Mrs Rusty Bucket
Lock up your bitches is all I can say. I've known a few dogs that like jumping like that. We had one who would jump about 2m up into a fork of a tree, and then frighten out passers by, especially if there had been recent (ghost) stories of escaped panthers. And I'm worried about mine. She did a flying leap over my front fence - which is only about a metre high but until yesterday she prefered jumping the much shorter neighbour's fence... I blame the cat. Quickasyoucan
My stafford x used to love jumping/climbing on things when he was younger. He would spring up just like a cat. he is the first dog I ever had who you would turn around and he would be on top of the barbecue standing there (not when it was being used obviously), or on top of the garden table. His favourite place to sleep used to be along the back of the sofa like a cat! If he wanted to be beside you and you were the other side of a wire fence he would just climb it. He has no fear. I might add he is now lying beside me post op for a ruptured cruciate but that is some time on and probably more due to his love of balls than climbing. The jumping down in that vid that did give me a bit of a cringe sometimes... I thought I read somewhere basenjis were big into climbing trees too.
