Are There Snakes At Kcc?

Consider there to be snakes everywhere there is natural space (and even sometimes when there is not natural space). Snakes have and do get seen down at KCC Park and you would ESPECIALLY (but not only) need to watch around the dam where near on perfect conditions exist for snakes.

Whilst it is not a guarantee, it is less likely to see a snake in high traffic areas, so they are the spots to stick to so long as they are also spots where visibility is better and you have a chance of spotting a snake in sufficient time.

certainly have seen them in the back areas of kcc but not as yet in offlead. Have just returned from there coincidently. I did initially let mine into the main offlead but started to get concerned about the risk from the long grass combined with sunny days, so moved mine into the smaller area next to the earth dog which is mown. The back training ground is also mown at present. In fact only area that isnt is the main offlead.

ta - I'll use the Earth Dog area. It is a pity because my girl rarely runs - but she galloped in the grass because it was long. She gets off leash time in a fenced area almost every day (it is a football field so there is nothing to sniff and explore), but it isn't the same.

Ive seen a snake slither into the GSD clubrooms one sunday morning while we were all training...scared the crapper outta me thats for sure!

must be something about GSD's they have them in WA also, I used to hate having to go and get the Agility equipment out of the shed's for that reason

never saw one myself but plenty of people have. Snakes don't generaly trot around in front of you if your unlucky enough to strike one then you

have a nervous break down like I do, although I run my dogs in a bush area all summer. Beagie
