I have just ordered one of these treat pouches from Clean Run...I emailed them & they reduced the postage to 7.90.

They also have the Gentle Leader ones but under a different name of Quick Access Pouches...developed by the same fellow. I think they were about 14.95 & if you email them they will reduce the postage to 7.90.

I'm a cheap skate - have BD and Doogue - but rarely use them. My #1 is the Hercules zip snack bags from the supermarket (where you get the sandwich bags etc.) Very easy to use from a pocket, and hold a good amount of treats - and you can prepare bagsful when you have time, pop them in the freezer, then pull them out when you need them. I prefer the Hercules brand to the Glad ones - better zip and stronger.

I have received my above-mentioned treat pouch from Clean Run, & I must say, I am very impressed with it. A bit of a "rolls royce' it has lots of different compartments, one for your clicker & another which is a dispenser for poo bags on a roll. The pouch itself has a simple opening & closing mechanism which is not dependant on hinges which can fail (as we all know). It simply has a magnetic catch. It has a clip on the back to fasten to your belt & also loops to put a belt through, but no belt comes with it. A plastic zippered sandwich bag fits inside perfectly to keep it clean, & best of all, Bindi thinks that the treats that come out of it are the best :)

Ooh that looks really good! I've been using my doog for classes but can't quite fit my phone in and my car key and fob, so this one might be a winner! :o

There's a spot for everything plus two D rings on either side, but it is not at all bulky, just well thought out

If you email Clean Run before you order, they will reduce the postage to $7.90. Sounds like more people might have new treat pouches :D

Thanks for posting about them Sheena - I've just emailed about the postage :o

I bought a blackdog treat pouch around a month ago and I've only used it a few times - noticed on Sunday at training that the hinge doesn't work any more :o I guess I should email blackdog to let them know too.

I have a Black Dog one, but from day one, I couldn't get it to stay open. It kept snapping shut on my fingers, which didn't hurt much but was un-nerving. I tried oiling it etc to no avail. Finally I forced it open & sort of bent it into shape :cheer: but of course now it wont shut properly, but better than snapping my fingers. :D

What is with the black dog one with a belt???

The belt is sooo long! I'd say I'm average sized and it is way too big for me. I have had to tie knots in it to make it fit me!

Also the hinges aren't very good even though I greased them.

When I ordered mine I told them my waist measurement (as I knew the belt would be waaay to big) and they shortened it for me :cheer: They were happy to do that for me at no additional cost.

Clean Run emailed me back and told me to use the online shipping calculator through their website - no offer of a discount :D Oh well, was worth a try!

Here is a copy of the email I sent them & their reply (really worth persueing)

(Their reply)

Dear ,

Thank you for writing. The shipping software on our web site can only calculate shipping in an envelope to a certain weight and once the weight of an item surpasses that amount the software assumes the item will be shipped in a box which raises the cost of shipping. If you are placing an order for just the Rapid Rewards Treat bag just make a note in the comments section of your order to reduce shipping fees to $7.95 per Linda and we will adjust the amount manually on our end prior to completing your order. The comment section can be found as you are checking out of the store.

Thank you again for choosing CleanRun.com. We appreciate your business. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us.

Sincerely,

(original message)

Hi,

I was wondering why the Rapid Rewards treat bag cost 32.35 to ship to Australia when the Trek & Train one cost only 7.95 in postage???

Cheers,
