Foot Fungus

I have a coated breed and it appears that there may be a fungal infection present on the paws.

Can you safely use human anti fungal powder?

The main components are Salicylic acid4% and Butyl hydroxybenzoate 1%

I have read several canine health books that say human athletes foot powder is safe ,but would like to be certain

The best idea would be to find out exactly what type of problem the dog has- it may not even be a fungus Appropriate treatment can then be given.

Putting the possibly incorrect remedy on could cause more problems Not to mention if your dog eats t e powder off his feet (which he will do )
