Nevafollo
Hey Andisa.I have stackers for the pointers and find them handy I also use them for the adult pugs cause they can just fit on this set but think when I get another pug bub that I might have toinvest in a smaller set. Andisa
Thanks Sammy - so they don't mind being on them? I was looking at them when Pink was small but she managed ok, however think these would be pretty good to get Charli started being so small and wiggle bum. Any stockists in Melbourne? Dogsfevr
I won't use them, have seen to many dogs who didn't do well on them & the flip side of bad stacking habits.
whippets
I bought a show stacker and it wasn't very well made. The flat foot pad part was glued to the rest of the chock. When I stacked the dog onto it (a whippet so not heavy) the disc broke off. I screwed all the discs onto the chocs and if they break again we'll just make our own and attach to the metal sliders. The wood is craft wood only so not very strong. Apart from the faulty construction, the theory of getting a dog to stack on it has worked for a couple of my dogs. Andisa
I guess while many love them there will always be those who don't - I suppose as long as care is taken they should be ok.
ellz
Some dogs don't need them, some do well with them....each is an individual. I didn't need to use them with Roger, he just naturally places his feet where they belong. Until Flame went missing on the other hand, she was on them a couple of times per day or there was NO way she would stand still, let alone let put her feet in the right place! :D I've also found that putting them on the ground, no matter what the size of the dog on them, seems to make the dog feel more secure although many people seem to use them on tables. Harder on your back for the smaller breeds but I'd rather have a happy dog.
gideOn
Hi Guys, We would just like to introduce ourselves as the new producers of Showstackers. We were fortunate to takeover from the lovely Maurie and Lorraine Chippindale who recently retired to the east coast. Nice to see so many people who love the Showstacker. It's a bit of a worry to see that someone has had problems with their Stacker. Each one is hand built from a combination of cabinet grade MDF, aluminium and brass. Each is checked a number of times prior to packaging. In the thousands that have been shipped around the world over the past 10 years, there have been less than a handful of manufacturing issues. We would really like the chance to address any problems personally. We are always looking for ways to improve our production techniques. We also provide a 3R warranty ( repair/replace/refund). So please give us your feedback, especially if you're having any dramas. We want to help!.... oh, and we don't bite Kindest regards to all, and best of luck in the show ring Janey and Rod w:www.showstackers.com e:[email protected] p:+61-8-9498-1959 m: 0419-949-500 bedfordale ~ Western Australia Edited June 4, 2011 by gideOn
