Scarlett Dog
Oooh I can actually make this week's Adolescent play group. I've never been to one before. Every one I've been able to make, they've cancelled Not sure if I'm game to go though. Does anyone know what the adolescent large breed one is like?? We go every week it's on. We've had no dramas. Scarlett has a ball. We've had no dramas- besides occasionally getting annoyed with some people's stupidity, but that happens wherever you go! We're there early so if you want me to hold Phi while you get puppy cuddles I can. Edited March 29, 2011 by Scarlett Dog
Scarlett Dog
I'm not sure we'll come on Sunday after playgroup. It could be alright if Scarlett sleeps afterwards. She has recall in the morning, then playgroup a few hours later so she sleeps all Sunday afternoon generally.

DogNerd
I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's the puppy and adolescent play group thing? I'm picking up my Samoyed puppy this weekend, so the puppy sounds interesting?
minxy
Hey Dognerd Yay! Can't wait to see photos in the Spitz thread. These play groups we're talking about are run by Urban Dog Training at Carindale. A few of us train there. If you're a member there, you're also entitled to go to the free puppy play groups that they run on Sundays. They split them into puppy group (8 weeks to 16 weeks) and split again into small breed pups and large breed pups, and then the adolescent group is for pups 6-12 months (again, split into small breeds and large breed groups). But I try to get her to sleep between that and play group while I spend time with Keira so she is rested. I understand though, sometimes I worry that she is getting too tired but she always seems to have the energy so I don't fuss too much. She sleeps great on Sunday nights though no i dont mind holding onto phi :D Fantastic, yay so excited to meet Willow. What Minxy said I would highly recommend you look into training with Urban they are awesome not just as trainers but just in general as people. They run loads of courses out of several venues including Carindale, Cleveland and Oxley. And they of course run play groups which are great socialisation tools because unlike dog parks they are very controlled, the dogs have fun but without the worry of a big dog hurting a little dog or the dogs getting over excited. Can't wait to see pictures of your new puppy!

Scarlett Dog
ANZAC Park is pretty big. from memory it's on the Broseley Rd/Wool St side. Easy to spot from the road
Flick_Mac
The dog park itself can be reached if you follow the road inside the park - it's a bit tricky to explain. If you've got someone's number it'll probably just be easier to call if you get lost!

Keira&Phoenix
Hope your feelinh better Flick. No worries LM next time. It was good just 3 of us (me, Dandy and Kitt). So we were talking the 9th of May for the meet instead of the 2nd as that weekend is may day long weekend and the weekend before is Easter. Everyone cool with that? Any suggestions on a park?
