heroeswit
My White Shepherd puppy was bitten yesterday when both my dogs were fighting over a bone. this morning there was no swelling so I went to work but when I got home I found that she now has one side of her muzzle swollen and it is the opposite side to where the marks from the bite are. so I was wondering could it still be from the bite or could it be say a bee sting? I'm taking her to the vets first thing in the morning and hoping to sort it out. edit to add: she also may have been swiped by my cat but I don't know for sure. she is definitely going to the vet Edited October 13, 2010 by dwilds
Everythings Shiny
Could be the cause, hopefully the vet will be able to give you a definate answer
GoldenGirl85
My first thought was a bite or sting, but I guess it could be the bite getting infected Either way Id be heading to the vet
heroeswit
We went to the vet this morning and the vet seems to think that it is a minor soft tissue damage and has put her on anti-inflammatory and antihistamines for the next 5 days so hopefully that fixes it or its back to the vets for x-rays
poodlefan
My White Shepherd puppy was bitten yesterday when both my dogs were fighting over a bone. I assume you've put practices in place to stop a reoccurrence. Its a fast track to SERIOUS fights.
sas
My old girl was bitten on the face by a foster and nothing showed until the next day when it started to swell so I would get the dog to the Vets as it might be an infection.
persephone
if there is a puncture wound- it could be infection- but if there is no puncture mark, and it is just tissue swelling, she should be fine
