Reason I ask about the name is that a friend I went to school with bought a puppy before he moved back to Adelaide from Perth. He was all excited about and told me it was a Goldie. Yes, he lived in Perth for a while previously. I can't believe he's doing this! I did actually tell him his dog is a Flattie because Goldies are obviously golden in colour and not liver. Apparently this dog is registered (not sure which register) and was bought from a WA breeder. Methinks I'll have to have a word to him. Don't know how effective it will be though. We aren't exactly close anymore. Yeh, know where he got it, they have Goldens too. He did call him a chocolate Flat Coated retriever, but only emailed Golden Retriever breeders!
