What Age For Homing Puppies In Qld?

I was walking near local supermarket and came across a woman asking everyone who went past if they wanted a pup. She said that they were 7 weeks old, I asked if they were microchipped and she said they were not as they were only 7 weeks old, I said that I thought they had to be 8 weeks and microchipped before they went to their new homes...this was not the best suggestion as she kinda lost-it and screamed out for me to go away (I did )...I was going to ask if they were wormed but thought I had better run away before I got me 'ed ripped off.

Anyway, my question is...what is the legal age for homing pups in Qld and what is the age that pups have to be microchipped?
