I didn't want to stay home while the footy is on as my OH is a mad Collingwood supporter and I couldn't stand the barracking for 2 hours. So we set off for a walk and went to a couple of different places, so here is some photos, also we came across a snake :laugh: My youngest had his nose on it before we realized what is was gave me a hell of a fright! Anyway all good, gahtered up the dogs and headed to another place for them to have a run so we have all had a fun but exhausting afternoon.

the Snake look's like a copperhead or a brown tlc from what i can see of it, the head doesnt look big enough for a Tiger Snake..... but then again i'm as blind as a bat :laugh: you could have got a bit closer couldnt you ?? :laugh::)

I had a crow pick up a baby snake over at the fence today :) which means i wont be going near the fence for awhile :)

I was NOT going anywhere near it and you should have seen me run the other way when I spotted it :laugh: RJ said oh you should have took a photo so I threw the camera at her and said there you go!! Actually they have been cropped so she was a bit further away form it than it looks, but I cropped it to see if we coudl get a better idea of what it was??

I almost caught the snake and bit its head off for lunch.

But Jeez I didnt know TLC could run so fast :laugh::laugh::)

Was a great day and a very enjoyable walk Sniff had fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Janet, didn't you know tlc and i have taken up the same training ?? :laugh: its called , how to run as fast as you can AWAY from snake's, the only snake's i allow to be around are the one's in the bottle's on my cupboard :laugh:

:) you have snakes in bottles? Ewwww. Years ago mum bought a house and when we went to shift in the old owner had left stuff everywhere and we were poking about and found a jar onthe kitchen table which we thought was coffee :) turned out that the jar was dirt with a baby snake in the top of it. Only found out when mum decided to put the kettle on and was saying oh well at least he left some coffee :)

tlc, my Snake's in bottles are left over from my younger son's School day's, i killed them around the house on the farm ( outside that is :confused: ) and of course kid's being kid's he had to take them to School to show everyone, and most likely had a giggle with his friend's about me doing the Snake dance, which included jumping up and down :laugh: while the Snake struck at me :laugh::cheer: ewwww now i have the hebejebee's :laugh:

I know very lucky indeed, had it of been my oldest dogs the others would have been right there beside him, so I was thanking god he didn't see it first. Also lucky my lot wont attemp to pick things up if they don't know what it is and especially if it moves!

Thanks for the pics, I think your right it does look like a brown. That pic of the snake with the baby made my blood run cold :heart:

I am paranoid since the snake episode, I have taken mine out every day since ( not back to the same place) but just on edge since that day! Our local off leash park is huge and luckily they have just mowed the lawn but under trees it is still long, I find myself wanting and getting the dogs to be closer to me so if I do happen to see a snake I can just turn and go the other way! It doesn't hurt to be on the ball.
