Bokezu the only guaranteed way for numbers is a Xray, after 7 weeks.

I have had 2 Xrays, both times the count was wrong.

Last one was done on the newest machine in Australia.

First time count was out by 2, second was out by 1.

thanks for letting me know that Sway....I was told it was 100% accurate....not by the vet though

they did offer me a specialist to do it at twice the price but I declined...normal x-ray will be around $150, the specialist senographer will be $350 I think she said, may have been $330......

missymoe, Sorry for your disappointment, I feel your pain. I too will never post again without confirmation, the disappointment we feel when we have to tell all that we will not have puppies this time is terrible. All I can say is better luck next time.

Thinking of having Secret xrayed later after having probs with her last litter. She has been on raspberry leaf tablets this time as she just stopped pushing last litter and had to have a csection. Do they really work or am I just pushing pills down her throat for no reason lol. Love the pics of puppies sleeping on blankets etc. how come my bitches just keep digging when I try to put them on blankets after puppies are born? I have all my pups and bitches on carpet now so she cant cover pups with the blankets.

Good luck to all the pending Mum's, may you all have healthy and safe arrivals.

We are hoping for a Rottweiler litter due Dec 18th. :)

This will be our first summer litter in a very long time, we normally only ever have winter litters.

Any tips to cope with the warm weather would be very welcome. :mad

Every yime I forget to give them I end up with a caesar so IMO they work and they do no harm.

cooling mats do help, and have a place by the pups, put a wet towel down, where she can lay on it, to help cool her down..

Our whelping room has a tiled floor and I also have an a/c in the lounge which will cool it down enough if need be. Cynda has lost her waist line now :( and she is still not coping with pregnancy to well. She is eating fine now but just doesn't like the fact that she is not aloud to jump etc and cracks the shits all the time :)

Will get some photos later...

Has everyone picked out their pedigree names for their puppies yet? We have had ours (well theme) picked out for months and I cant wait to hear people try and pronounce these names ;)
