Australian Shepherd red merle dog (NOT desexed) in need of a temporary home.

Owner moving interstate for work and her new home is not suitable to house a dog.

Possibly needs homing for up to 12 months.

Temporary home needs to be close to Melbourne if possible so that the owner can visit from time to time.

All expenses for the dog will be paid for by owner.

She might be better off looking for a temporary home for the dog where she is moving to so she can see it more frequently.

And, unless there is a very good reason to keep it entire, I'd desex it. Giving and entire dog to what is really a stranger for a year is very risky.

Ditto, and really, if I was going to take a young sporting breed and do things with him, I'm not sure I'd want to give him back after 12 months. Perhaps it would be easier on the dog to find a great home that already does sports with their other dogs than confuse him?

would it be possible to find out how the dog is with other dogs including smaller dogs? and kids?

Ditto - Unless the owner was to 'rehome' him/her within the same area to where they are moving & kept the pets live as normal as possible, taking them for their daily walks etc.
