gus01
Im feeding my dog 10 mg trilostane pills while my parents are on vacation, He has cushions disease. Is it safe to touch the pills with my hands, or should I wear gloves? also why does the box say Do not handle the capsules if pregnant or trying to become pregnant? Trilostane may decrease testosterone synthesis and has anti-progesterone properties <what does this mean? Im worried that the pills will effect me. dogbesotted
from all i have read the capsules are quite safe to handle under normal situations... if you are concerned or pregnant or planning to become pregnant then by all means take the sensible option of wearing gloves.. do not breakopen capsules and wash hands after handling should be sufficient http://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=16749 hope this helps H
Kelly_Louise
We give Trilostane tablets without gloves - and we were not warned by vet the need for them (but were for other medications). However ensure to wash hands before or after use. If you are worried though - just pop some gloves on.
