Approx Cost To Groom

Friend has a largish, long haired, double coated dog. Over winter she has had back problems (laid up) and was unable to groom the dog properly. What with this and the hideous amount of rain, plus the seasonal burrs, the dog is a bit of a mess. Any idea what she would be looking at as far as cost to get him sorted? I offered to go and 'fix' him, but she's seen what I did to my Shihtzu and declined.

I'd charge $100 plus in the salon. Although it really depends on how bad the coat condition is.

What does she want done?

Many groomers will simply clip the dog off. If she wants "proper" grooming it will be more expensive if its possible to do it.

She just wants him sorted, He is a pet so no need for fancy do's. Clipping him off would bugger his coat? The top half of him, where she has managed some grooming is pretty good. It's his belly and legs that are the big problem. He is a nut of a dog who does not like being inside and will sleep out in the rain on an empty feed bag!
