mackenzie11
I was thinking about soaking up one of his wees with it see if that would change anything. with mollie i have an area of 4 liners in corner of a small room, with these four i leave them down for a few hours with her wee on it, poops get thrown out straight away, but the pee ones stay for a while, then when they are replaced i keep 1 of these four that is not as soiled and replace the 3 worst ones, this encourages her to go back, an air freshener in the room helps keep the smell down, not that there is much as it is well vetilated good luck with it and persever as it does work
misscoco13
Oh the puppy pads!! We have them too, in Gypsy's pen in the lounge room. The only way we stop her from chewing them up is to clip them to the holder. It's like a tray, especially made for the puppy pads. My husband bought it home last year when we got Candy. Not sure where he got it from, but likely a pet shop or discount store. Gypsy has a hard time scratching them up when they are clipped in, so she usually just gives up and goes to chew something else Maybe that would work for you? We are only using them inside because next week we go back to work after a weeks holiday and Gypsy will be inside until we come home for lunch. luvsdogs
I have never used them. If you intend for your pup to toilet outside as an adult, that's where you should take him. After eating, drinking, waking up & play. Every hour at other times. Is he in or outside when your not home?
Bundyburger
haha we had another go today and no joy they must taste nice! I have the day off tomorrow will give it a red hot go if not then meh we will give it a miss. I was thinking about soaking up one of his wees with it see if that would change anything. If you want him to go outside, don't bother. I've posted this a few times because I had the same trouble with my boy... the meal times/drink/play didn't work for us, as he'd go in and pee straight away. I would find that i'd have to take him out to go, take him inside to break the focus and straight out to toilet again. If you watch carefully they walk funny with a full bladder or even if it's not fully emptied so you can tell when they aren't finished. My pup used to glare at me, then sigh and go again I think the most repetitions it took was 6 before he fully emptied his bladder. Now at 1year he has a super bladder, I swear he'll hold on until he has to pee for nearly 2 minutes! I used to say the command as soon as he started sniffing. Now he'll go automatically when we let him out, but sometimes i still need to use the command. Edited October 4, 2010 by Bundy's Mum
