Dogsfevr
We start on show puppies from 8 weeks but this isn,t normally a full strip just rolling the puppy coat & depending on how the coat last full strip around 6/7 months but each dog is different & has a different coat. But as soon as possible so the coat doesn't get out of hand

She went from looking like a fluffy black ball to looking like a real Lakeland in miniature.

quickbrownfox
I forgot about this thread! Thanks everyone :D , I hand stripped my Airedale puppy last week with no problems. I can already see the difference in his coat (starting to look/feel wiry.)
becks
I take the coat out on mine when they are between 3 and 4 months old, as we can't start showing until 6 months of age, so I time it so they can go into the showring with a new hard coat.
