Adza
Hi All, So who's dogs lay down with the frog legs? Is this a sign of anything bad? Heard different rumours but it amazes me how they do it. She only started this few weeks ago. Even though I find it cute, and several of my previous rotties did this, wondering who else's dogs do this?? and if any pics pls upload :D
FranVT
Luuka does too. Can't find a photo right now though!

poodlefan
I call it frog dog and it doesn't mean anything other than a dog that likes its tummy on the floor. :D
jazawayaya
my whippet does it all the time! :D
Starkehre
I have a froggie too. Very common and means nothing... though having said that, in my experience dogs that do lay that way often do it on the cooler surfaced floors, so there could be a link to a warmer pup/dog and trying to gain a larger cooling surface. Please excuse the muddy puppy floors. Added, dogs with bad hips do this too. Edited September 21, 2010 by dyzney

Niques
James has always done it - we call it his dugong pose. Good to hear there's nothing to it. I used to find it worrying. I am melting over your rottie pup, Dyzney :D Too adorable!
SnoPaws
Two Sams do it, but the other one and the Sibe don't :D However the Sibe has been know to sunbathe flat on her back with all four legs in the air in the middle of the lawn on 48 degree days
ellz
Took this on Saturday....he was frogdogging on my foot, presumably so the soft bits didn't come into contact with the itchy grass! And when he was a baby, using Bad Alice as a cushion!
angelsun
Here's another frog dog and contrary to what some think, it doesn't ensure no hip issues, but it certainly looks cute!
D4DOGZ
Buster does it as well. When he was a pup i was told that it means he would be a water dog and a great swimmer. He only gets in his pool when he is really hot and prefers not to swim.

James is a huge spunk too. adza_baby, your little girl is just so gorgeous. It is a very cute position when they do it. We always run for the camera. poodlemum
I always thought it was a Poodle thing - all the Poodles I have had in 30-odd years have done the "froggy"
Blakbelgian
Most of our guys do it as well. We call it the dead frog. Was once told it means they have good hips. BB
Guest belgian.blue
Ivy doesn't but I think Badger has done it but Pointers are awkward dogs and lay in the more strange ways.
