MavericksMission
Okay wonderful Photography DOL members Quick question about Macro Lenses. Which on would you recommend? Money factor between these two is no big deal. Canon EF 100mm f2.8 Macro OR Canon EF 50mm f2.5 Compact Macro Lens. All opinions welcome! Thanks in advance! huga
Hey MM, I had a photographer over here recently (works for the Courier Mail). He was using a 24-70 and when I said I was jealous, he said not to bother with it and to get the 100mm macro instead. He said it usually lives on his camera and he uses it for everything, from portraiture to fashion work.
MavericksMission
Thanks Huga! That's the sort of opinions I need. I sort of thought for the extra bit of money it might be worth getting the 100mm.

carebear
dad advised me when i was asking about macro's, to get one with the bigger number as then you can be further away from your subject and still get great shots. he bought mum and 150mm macro lens which it looks like i'll be taking away on my holiday
