Swizzlestick
Where I work we use the LA Metacam for dogs over 10kg. At a dose rate of 0.1ml/10kg The reason for this according to the bosses is to save $$. So 0.25ml for a 25kg dog is just right.

rachiie
Last night as I was going to bed I was recalling the vet's words (instead of going to sleep, I know) and the vet said that when he opened up the area it was 'fleshy'. I didnt think to ask him what he meant (and can ask him Monday when we go back to get the drain removed) but in the meantime does anyone want to hazard a guess? rachiie
Update: the vet rang Monday and advised that it was an infection like an ingrown hair or similar. Phew!
