KnucklesDutchnUs
getting care for his bite wounds. YAY! for the found sheltie! And please explain the bite marks and 'dalmatian guy'. It's been ages since we've been to the park and I would like to know if there are problems (so we can keep out of the way if we see problem dogs). - Astred
Katdogs
He's there during the day, and if the white van/truck is there and a bloke with up to a dozen Dals, don't go in. He will probably warn you off anyway. If he is putting them back into the van, be very sure the doors are shut before you go too close. He's been going there for some years now so if you haven't run into him you probably won't. I have found the guy with two dominant GSDs and the video camera filming other people and their kids much more threatening! The 5.30 crowd are not the scariest crew at this park! Katdogs
It's a great park most of the time, just like anywhere most people and their dogs are wonderful but there's the odd one or two to look out for. If you join the pack between 5-6pm on weekdays you'll be fine for hard play, or a bit earlier or later for gentler socialising. It's big enough that your dog, if it has good recall, won't need to be jumped all over. There's mainly big dogs, but there's a lovely JRT who joins in with Stevie and the Goldies for fun, and a couple of Pugs who are complete clowns. tdierikx
Or you could drive over to the new park between Kylie Ave and Wiggs Rd - entry off Kylie Ave and parking is a bit of a bugger, but seems to be empty most of the time... T.

Like all dog parks (and life in general) there are good things and there are bad things. But it is an awesome park, with awesome people. We were so proud of the community we joined when we moved to the area. And if it wasn't for the park we wouldn't have our Blue-terror-- erm i mean Dutch! - Astred (p.s LOVE Moe!) I don't think any of us really had a say there... ... and Dutch has the cutest backside in the whole park... *giggle* (I must find that bum shot I took... ) T.
