HugUrPup
I am broke. The money I have is to pay for a car service and for storm damage. I CAN NOT spend it on a 10 week old Cavalier, no matter how beautiful he is and no matter how much I trust the local breeder (where Miley came from). I DO NOT need a 3rd dog. I don't I don't I DON'T!!!!
Remarkabull
I'm no good to you. I have 5 dogs. After every one I say 'that's it, no more until some of these ones have gone over the bridge', but here I am with 5 dogs. Good luck resisting, I hope you're better at it than me :D

Maybe Miley's breeder will have another litter and you can get one when you are ready for one. Alternatively; you could also ask the breeder about a payment plan and tell her what you've just told us. Goodluck and best wishes for whatever you decide. ETA: Your council may decide this for you also, are you allowed to have more then two dogs? Edited September 3, 2010 by Parkeyre

You said so yourself that this is a spur of the moment thing, sleep on it. Best of asking your shire exactly what the requirements are too. Snout Girl
we also want a third dog, but have a few recent financial difficulties due to OH having no job for 2 months. he has a job now, but it will take a few months to get back on our feet. so we have shelved our plans for another dog until next year

Danois
Ask yourself a couple of questions: 1. How will you afford to desex the pup in a few months; and 2. If pup decides to get into something it shouldn't and you need to rush to the emergency vet at 2am on a Sunday morning and pup needs emergency surgery (which you have to pay for before the surgery) - how will you afford this if you're broke? HugUrPup
I have a vet who never turns me away because I always come through with the cash. He has done a few emergency procedures for me when I haven't had the cash right away
