dancinbcs
Just wondering if any dol'ers became educators? I did. They still need a lot more teams though so anyone else that is interested, especially in metro, the south and west of the state, get your application in for the next intake. Michelleva
I attended one of these programs last year with my son when he was in 4yo kinda, it was fantastic and taught him a lot about how to treat dogs and how to approach a dog you don't know. It was also good at teaching the kids how to treat your own dog, in a very simple way. I've used the knowledge I learnt to educate other kids who come running up to meet my dog. Cazstaff
I got a call today to take Ruger in for testing on 16/3.... so we'll see how he goes! He's still only young at 14mths so can be a bit goofy if he's in a silly mood.
juice
Thought i might apply, but my dally is too old apparently, and although my Bt is rock solid i reckon they would turn me down on breed ;)

dancinbcs
I got a call on friday so will see you there :D I got a call today to take Ruger in for testing on 16/3.... so we'll see how he goes! He's still only young at 14mths so can be a bit goofy if he's in a silly mood. Good luck Rainy and Cazstaff. Hope you get to join us. The assessment is pretty easy for a trained and socialised, bombproof dog. My boy never batted an eye at anything they did or asked of him. The human interview is a bit tougher but the real work starts if you get selected. So much to learn about little kids.

Nik
Hi I have an interview for this program in Victoria on 25/5. Just wondering if anyone can tell me what is involved in the dog temp testing please. She's fab around kids, but just want to make sure that we don't get something she's never experienced before! Nik
Life Of Riley
I am applying for this program as well in the Mornington peninsula area. I am seeing a lady at dog school on Sunday that has gone through all the testing with her dogs and is now in the program, I will ask her what is involved in the testing and let you know Sunday :D
bullyfan
Good luck with your interviews. It's nothing scary, your dog will be happy and relaxed as long as you are! We started working in this program this year and are both absolutely loving it!
