Just wondering if anyone would like to help us out with this dog, funds are rock bottom and we would like to go ahead with the foxcatcher man.

We dont have an exact figure at this stage, but anything will be VERY welcome. As I mentioned earlier our last 3 dogs have cost around $1800 but all been sucessfully rehomed in to loving families and this has all happened in the last 2-3 months.

We have been unable to book another sausage in the immediate future so we are relying on donations only at this stage.

What our goals are for this situation:

1. Pay a professional Catcher to impound the dog. (In the process now)

2. Take straight to the Vet to get a chip scan and reunite with owners.

3. Contact the papers and place an ad to find owners (Breed Clubs have been contacted)

4. Go through the pound process and attempt to have it released to us.

5 Pay any relevant fees

6. Pay for a specialist behavioural assessment and rehab training if necessary

7. Find suitable foster care and re home

We dont want to go past point 2 and hopefully dont have to.

$1, $2, $5 Doesnt matter. We will need around $120 to pay for stage 1.

Consider your $120 covered Darl. :) Can I do an internet transfer ? It's worth paying the money to catch this little bugger, look him in the eye & say "Wadda ya mean ya don't like my treats ?"

 GSD's you cant do that. $10 is enough if we have 10 people.

We are determined to see this through to the very end and I have a feeling it will be a positive outcome :(

Hey, Sam the Man worked out even if we had a loss of $660 :)

Will you be happier if we split it and go $60 each :)

go away

Bilbo and I will put in also, its too much to accept. Just called Bilbo and she was a little teary, especially after seeing what this dog is living off and living in. It makes it worse knowing he has a collar. Its someones pet.

i'd put money aside in case the dog panics with foot caught in trap and injures himself too :) yes more human then the old steel ones but a tethered leg clamp still has some risks.

THanks mate, I had thought about this and the catcher has said that it will swell so he is going to try and win him over without using it. If he has to use it we may have to ask for more help. The last thing we want is an injured dog, but head over heart we have to do the right thing by him. Its no life living like that, to become more feral and self sufficient every day. He could become a risk to the public and himself if he chose to go out on the roads. Thanks for your help earlier, the catcher man sounds very confident and knowledgeable.

I can't help with financial support atm as we are facing some very large orthodontist bills, on top of the other ever increasing bills. If you need extra bodies for door knocking or other help please let me know. I'm only about 10 mins away from the area and I would be happy to help the fox/dog catcher if he needs a hand.

We know our Gracie was a stray for at least 6 weeks from about the time of Black Saturday. Once she was in our yard and knew she couldn't get out it was like a switch flicked and she knew she was safe and didn't have to be so hyper-vigilant. I'm hoping it will be like that for this white dog. I would really love to know he was safe and warm. Not out in this weather.
