ness
I think money or free entry towards the next trial is a good idea as far as prizes go. Money can always go towards more entries or to pay for title certificates or something. I do like Vickie's idea of credits with the canine association to go towards titles or membership fees or things like that though as well . leopuppy04
I like dog food or anything that can be used at a trial ;) I'm not too sure about cryptic things that Melody had to explain to me what it was on sunday

Tapua
A big broad ribbon for 1st,2nd 3rd is cool, money is great, petrol money is better IMHO, good quality dry food is good, but lots of people are fussy about what they feed a gift voucher with something like Petbarn is cool too. Love the idea of a toy.
SmoothieGirl
I remember when my mum came and helped me at the Summer Royal Horse Show one year. Totally non-horsey, but great at carrying buckets, brushes and following instructions. My palomino came third in his led class and won $12, she was so excited. The entry for that class alone was about $30, but she didn't care, she was jumping up and down saying "but he won money, real money, what a clever horse". God it made me laugh. Mums, gotta love 'em. Personally Melody, I wouldn't expect a prize as well as a sash/trophy if I placed, its not about that for me. But I do like the idea of toys for the dog, but I completely get that people have their own ideas about toys too.
DeltaCharlie
Cash/ Petrol Vouchers are my favourite Like someone earlier said, I would rather get $5 than some of the dishes that sit in the back of the cupboard and never get used. We generally take a ribbon if it is a trial we have never been too or if its for a novice class, and title ribbons when they get them (although my dogs always seem to title at trials that dont have title ribbons). Otherwise I don't take ribbons, the clubs spend so much money on them, I would rather let them keep it to use for the next trial and save them buying more. smisch
A nice ribbon/trophy and Cash is good.. We get some interesting prizes up here... Coles myer vouchers, Cool Rugs, Dog Dozers, Bags of food, Gift bags from Petstock,Canine Cafe, Various Dog toys oh and jackets... I find the best prizes are useful ones, The cool rug was brilliant but Cash always comes in handy..I think these days most people prefer that to a cheap toy that their dogs are gonna destroy in 30sec
