tlc
Call me curious, she posted for about 6 months and was waiting for a puppy and started this thread http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=187172 she got her puppy and posted some photos then she was gone and never posted again? Anyone got any clues, I know it is none of my business but it seems strange to me. I guess there is lots of posters that this happens with? but to be posting a lot then get a new dog then just disappear, very wierd!!
Nevafollo
I thought about her once and thought it was weird that she just fell of the face of the DOL earth, but I guess it happeneds sometimes. Wonder if there was more to it?
ellz
Interestingly, the young adult dog that she had taken on from the breeder was (I think) readvertised on the mature dog pages again by the breeder not long after she took it.

ellz
Perhaps things didnt work out too well? I'd say not. At least a) she had the sense to return the dog to the breeder and b) the breeder was reputable enough to take it back. I wonder if because of how she has seen other people treated when things have gone pear-shaped, she was too embarrassed to come in and tell us what happened? tlc
Possibly right Ellz, I wondered if this was the case. She was so excited about getting the dog thats why I found it strange she never came back. March 31st was her last post the day she got the dog however she was on line last in June according to her profile.
Nevafollo
Abit sad if she felt she couldnt come back here but I understand it, some people here can be abit FULL on when things go wrong Whilst we are on the subject of who went where, what happened to the chick that was buying the blue staffy pup that everyone advised her against? I have a friend who is too scared to come back on here, after having to return her rescue dog for reasons I totally respect. She has seen how some people backtrack through past usernames and posts to throw fresh accusations, and is afraid it will happen to her. I cant say I blame her. Seems a pity that folk won't return for fear of what a very small majority of members might say. No one is perfect. No one. There are worse things than returning a dog that's not working out to its breeder or rescuer. Dumping it in the pound and ignoring it in the back yard are two. This is an internet forum. There are all kinds of people here. Its sad to see folk run scared of a few members.

Tell your friend not to be silly and come on back, If I can get on here and survive with my clan surely she can too. It is sad to think she wont be welcome. There is so many knowlegable and like minded people here it is a great place for everything dog that's why I love it. Well I hope Jess live die and her family are all safe and well and good on her for returning the dog if it didn't suit her family as PF said there is worst things you can do!! tlc
I thought about it but just figured if she hasn't been here since June she wouldn't see the pm? Gayle.
Whilst we are on the subject of who went where, what happened to the chick that was buying the blue staffy pup that everyone advised her against? Do you mean Dee_al? She is a friend of mine, the puppy is her boyfriends. It's very, very cute although I'll be the first to admit I'm not a staffy person at all. I saw her a few weeks ago at obedience training, her visits to DOL were sporadic before the puppy and I don't think much has changed there. It is sad to think she wont be welcome. There is so many knowlegable and like minded people here it is a great place for everything dog that's why I love it. I have told her to come back, over and over. I too am a DOL "survivor" , I stuck it out here because I love the supportive people and the great advice. I guess some people cant let the barbs slide though. I think she lurks occasionally but doesn't feel comfortable enough logging in or posting. Maybe one day. Another scenario with Jess live die could be that she is just too busy IRL to get on here? Or maybe she has realised that she can be more productive by not being addicted to DOL... Wish I could!! :D
