Wilbur
Hi All, what can I use on a bitch who has rubbed on top of her nose raw (not broken skin, just really red)?? She has a show on Sat. I did read somewhere on DOL about PawPaw cream.
persephone
Anything you put on a nose will be licked off in about 30 seconds, from my experiences , but you can try paw paw- it's good
Erny
A tip that might help. When I need to put an ointment (such as PawPaw) on any part of my dog's body - including his nose ..... I tend to smear some around his muzzle, under chin and then somewhere else where it won't matter if he licks it off. Sometimes it works to distract him from what's on his nose (or wherever else on his body it is meant to be) and it lasts there a bit longer. poodlefan
Medicinal grade Manuka Honey. Just supervise for a few minutes until it dries or put it on just before you feed her. Edited August 30, 2010 by poodlefan
Erny
under chin Dogs can't lick their own chin That's the whole point. Put it somewhere else so they can lick rather than where you want it left on. It's worked for me - sometimes.
