ncarter
Had an xray and it seems the cruciate ligament is fine. The vet thinks it was a grade 1 patella luxation and now he is limping occasionally when he is anticipating the pain. So a pretty good result really. So rest and stronger anti-inflammatories should sort him out
ncarter
after talking to the vet again she thinks monte has arthritis in the joint. So she is recommending meloxicam for a month and then zydax injections and jointguard/glyde. I just didnt think it was that bad. Like before he luxated the patella he had no signs of arthritis. And it only seems to be the one joint that is affected and it has improved with rest. I started jointguard and fish oil nearly 2 weeks ago so that hasnt really had time to work.
