Chicken Bones, Will My Puppy Choke?

Just wandered what people do when feeding puppies bones, Someone suggested to me that I should be feeding my puppy Chicken wings, they mentioned breaking the bones down using a mallet. I'm just worried that he will swallow the bones... If i use a mallet though will it be fine to feed to him...?

Most of us start our pups on chicken necks and wings and as they grow we give them whole chicken frames.

I have never broken them up.

Never had a problem with mine. :D

What breed is the pup. I would not use a mallet to crush bones except for the tiniest puppies.

He is supposed to eat the bones.

I have a Chi so I will occasionally cut a chicken neck in half if it's a big one but otherwise leave them whole to be munched on.

Dogs are built to eat bones.
