becandcharch Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Yep I think so I cant speak for the 550D but the 50mm 1.8 is the bomb! Its the best little lens that didnt leave my camera for the 1st year I had it. Great for doggy shots. The others will be able to tell you more about the 550D. If/when you decide you want to try new things then you can check out more options, but master that 50 1.8 lens first - you're going to have heaps of fun!
