There was some woman advocating cross breed dogs on either Sunrise or the Morning Show earlier this week... I had a cringe moment.

My dad got a DVD with one of the Don Burkes mag's and it was the top 6 dog breeds in Australia (according to Burke himself) and out of the 6, 4 were DD's. He then went on to describe how much better DD's were and how it eliminates health issues etc. It was all total Bull S.....!

He certainly knows all about horse sh*t ;) I well remember the program where he had pictures of the "well-socialised puppies" in puppy farms, compared to a "typical breeder's set-up" (dog in small chain fenced concrete run) :D

ETA - that was the last "Burke's Backyard" I ever watched

Farming dogs like chickens is CRUEL, no question.

Well, I just heard him on his radio show give an RSPCA representative (Steve, sorry I didn't get his full name) a complete dressing down. He was saying that the RSPSA had lost it's way. Essentially, why were they picking on puppy farmers and why do they support the pedigree dog world? I will try and find a transcript of the full conversation.
